Born at Apple River, Nova Scotia and grew up in Connecticut, U.S.A. Arbella came west to Calgary where she met and married Stanley Anthony Cherak. They resided in Canmore, Alberta where they raised their son Bernard and daughter Barbara. They retired to Osoyoos, B.C.
She was predeceased by her husband Stanley and brother Ron Spicer. Arbella is survived by her son Bernard (Zennie), daughter Barbara (Peter Syrnyk), grandchildren; Stanley (Kristi), Oliver (Elizabeth), Jennifer Syrnyk and great grandchildren, Ethan and Lennox.
She was an active member in the Catholic Church throughout her life.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016, Valley View Funeral Home, 14660-72 Ave, Surrey, B.C. at 2 pm.
Interment will take place at Canmore, Alberta, in the family plot.
Memorial donations may be directed to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
