<div itemprop="description">Grace Lillian Leech, age 88, died Tuesday night on the 6th of September 2016 in Coquitlam at the Madison Care Centre. She was born in New Westminster, BC, September 13, 1927 to Thomas and Lily (Kearsley) Brownlee, she was the youngest of 3 children. <br> <br>She graduated TJ Trapp Technical high school in the summer of '45 and found employment as a Bank Teller in Sapperton. <br> <br>She was introduced to John Gordon Leech at the local bowling alley whom she married on June 2, 1950. John and Grace had five boys together. Grace was a loving mother who stayed home to raise her brood at the home they purchased in Coquitlam while Her husband worked for the Hydro starting as a meter reader and retiring as a Supervisor for the BC Hydro trouble Centre. Grace loved gardening and was famous for her baking and home cooked meals. Grace also worked a few years as an Avon Lady to help out her growing family. <br> <br>Grace was preceded in death by her parents, husband John Gordon, brother Albert, sister Gladys and her youngest son Thane. She will be remembered for her love of plants, cooking and devotion to family. She is survived by her 4 sons Gerald, Howard, Harley and Troy. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and best friend forever Violet Stefanko (Auntie Vi to Grace's boys). <br> <br>Funeral services will be 2:00PM on Friday September 16th, 2016 at Valley View Memorial Funeral Home, 14644 - 72nd Avenue, Surrey, British Columbia. Graveside services are at 3:00PM with a reception to follow in the Valley View reception area. <br> <br>The Leech family would like to express our gratitude to the staff at The Madison for their attentiveness and loving care of Grace. <br> <br>Donations can be made in memory of Grace Leech to the Alzheimer's Society of BC.</div>
