<div itemprop="description">De Sousa - Jose Barbosa <br> <br>February 19, 1948 - March 08, 2017 <br> <br>Jose passed away peacefully with his family by his side on March 8th, 2017. He is predeceased by parents Jose and Maria Sousa and by his wife, Luisa Sousa, in 2000. Jose is survived by his children Betty, Nelson (Theresa), and Mark (Jessica). His grandsons Hector, Branden, Austin, Kaiden, and Rylan. His siblings Maria De Jesus (Humberto), Antonio (Josie), Luis (Connie) Maria De Seu (Antonio) and Frank (Ida) as well as many nieces, nephews and Godchildren. <br>Jose was born in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal on February 19, 1948. He moved to Canada in 1971 to start a new life. He married Luisa on October 18, 1972 and she later travelled to Canada to join him here. Jose and Luisa resided in Richmond for some time but planted their permanent roots in Delta, BC. Jose was an active member of the Portuguese community and enjoyed going to Portuguese dances and events. Jose enjoyed going crabbing at Tsawwassen on his boat, camping, road trips with family, singing, telling jokes, eating sushi and seafood, and spending time with his family. Jose will always be remembered for his kindness and love for his family. <br>Family and friends are invited to a prayer service on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Our Lady of Fatima Portuguese Parish at 6:00PM. The funeral service is Monday, March 13, 2017 at Our Lady of Fatima Portuguese Parish at 10:00AM. The Internment will take place at 12:00PM in the Garden of Heritage at Valley View Memorial Gardens. <br> <br> <br> <br></div>
