Survived by his loving wife, Lorie, of 56 years and daughters Sherri (Dave), Shawndra, grandsons Riley and Liam, brothers John (Marlene), Ken, Derek and many nieces and nephews. Ozzie enjoyed his golfing and was known to bet on the 18th hole. He was a member of the Burnaby Mountain Senior Men’s Golf Club. He also enjoyed curling, playing cards, travelling and spending time with family and friends. The trailer out at Harrison Hot Springs brought him much enjoyment as well.

He was born in Drumshanbo, Co. Leitrim, Ireland and had 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Ozzie left home at 15 and served an apprenticeship in sales. He came to Canada in 1957 and started working for Woodward’s Department Store in sporting goods. He was then promoted to the men’s wear department which transferred him to Prince George, Edmonton and Calgary. After becoming a buyer for men's wear, many adventurous trips to the Orient were made. He retired in 1987 as Store Manager at Park Royal. After a year of retirement he got itchy feet and joined the work force again working for Manuel Fernandes Clothing Store downtown and Surrey for 20 years.

Ozzie will be remembered for his loving devotion to his family, and his gentle, humorous, easy going spirit. He made many friends through his walk of life and was a truly rare gentleman with integrity and respect and will be sadly missed by all.
