March 21, 1932 - December 3, 2016
Forrest, Sylvia Kathleen Johanna (Hills)
21 March 1932 - 3 December 2016
It is with sadness that our family announces the passing of Sylvia. Pre-deceased in 2011 by her husband John of 55 years, she is survived by children Michael (Kirsti), Helen (Daniel) Andrew (Cindy) and Grandchildren Gareth (Jen) Sean (Jacolynn), Lindsay (Devon), Kris (Rachel), Matt, Sarah, Thomas & Paige, Jodi (Warren), Brent & Cameron.
Born in Kent, England, Sylvia grew up there during the war. She met the love of her life in Aylesford and married John in 1956
She was a devoted wife and followed John to the ends of the earth as his career progressed. Scotland, Sunderland and then abroad to Iran and India. Their final destination was BC Canada where they settled in North Vancouver. They eventually moved to Surrey, where they remained.
Sylvia loved to be involved as much as she could with everything she touched.
Sylvia will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her church, the theatre, and for her compassion to those in need.
