<div itemprop="description">Beloved husband, kind and patient dad, grandpa and great-grandpa, devoted Christian, calm and steady builder, accountant and businessman, helpful handyman, world traveller, good friend and neighbour.<br>William Stanley “Stan” was the fifth of seven children born to William Freeman and Lottie May Pointon, and grew up helping on the family farm in Major, Sask. He headed west to build houses and met his wife, Bodil (“Dell”), in Calgary, marrying on November 3rd, 1956. Having gained his RIA (CPA) credential, they moved with their three children to BC in 1964 where Stan worked for BC Hydro in Vancouver and for a time in Castlegar on the Arrow Dams project before taking over the Kristen’s Art business with Bodil. They retired in 1988 and returned to farming in the Fraser Valley. Stan was also active in ministry and explored the world on many cruises before moving to Surrey where he recently celebrated his 90th birthday with joy and thanksgiving.<br>Stan is survived by his wife, Bodil; children Deborah (Ed) Baarschers, Derek (Christine) Pointon and Barry Pointon (Fiona Avakumovic); grandchildren Bill (Mona), David, Dawn (David), Alyssah, Jessica, Isabelle and Lucy; great-grandchildren Anna and Luke and many nieces and nephews.<br> In lieu of flowers, donations in Stan’s memory to the Gospel Perpetuating Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.<br></div>
